Centre for Women’s Development Studies (CWDS) is a research and advocacy institution engaged with and committed to women’s rights and to the discipline of women’s and gender studies. The Centre comprises faculty and researchers from diverse academic and research domains. Located in central New Delhi, CWDS houses faculty space, a seminar room, and a women’s studies library and documentation centre. The Centre attracts scholars, students, researchers and activists from within India and beyond who draw upon its resources. In December 1984, the CWDS was recognized as one of the research institute supported by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).

CWDS Activities
Centre for Women’s Development Studies undertakes a wide range of activities focused on women’s and gender issues, including interdisciplinary research, publications, fellowships, training programmes, seminars, conferences, policy advocacy, and community outreach.
