In a vibrant democracy there is an ever changing scenario with regard to advocacy for rights and awareness and scope for developing new networks. We continue to interact with official agencies towards sensitization from a gender perspective, even as we seek to enter into new areas to develop our research perspectives and intervene with a view to impacting women’s lives positively. Recent years have seen the emergence of issue based networks to debate gender issues, such as that of unpaid care work, along with earlier work being done around the specific issues concerning domestic work, safe migration, child care and women’s work. These networks represent multiple formations and each has its own focal points. We have tried to negotiate this changing terrain and keep pace with the issues being posed from the ground, while keeping up with the thinking of the national network of women’s organisations as well as other platforms that have emerged in this period.
