About the Project
There has been significant increase in the number of women voters in many state assembly elections and national elections. In many places they have even gone ahead of men. The gender gap in voting has almost disappeared. Through the present research proposal, an attempt will be made to understand the voting behaviour of women. This will not only help confirm the results of studies done on this topic but will also probably reveal some new results. Field work for the study will be conducted in these three parliamentary constituencies – East Delhi, New Delhi and South Delhi.
Requirement
- Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55% marks. Prior experience in conducting field work among women, preferably in the area of election studies but not limited to it, is desirable.
- Should be able to communicate in Hindi as well as English.
- Candidates from historically marginalized communities and women are highly encouraged.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Field Visit and Conduct interviews
- Data entry in excel sheet
- Transcribe interviews
The applicant must commit to work full-time for the mentioned duration.
Remuneration – Consolidated Salary: Rs. 20,000 per month
