CWDS invites applications for the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR)
Institutional Doctoral Fellowships in Women and Gender Studies for the academic year
2026-2027.

All applicants under the Institutional Doctoral Fellowship Scheme, are required to submit
their application in online mode only on the link: https://app.icssr.org
Candidates are required to select the appropriate box of ICSSR Research Institute given in
Section III (Type of affiliating institution) in the online application form. ICSSR will
consider only those applications for Institutional Doctoral Fellowship which are received
online accompanied by a Forwarding Letter by issued by CWDS.
The deadline for online submission of completed application forms with forwarding letter,
CV, and the research proposal as approved by the University (SC/ST/OBC/PH certificate if
applicable) is 14-07-2026
It is a condition of the ICSSR fellowship that selected candidates have a CWDS faculty
member as co-supervisor. CWDS co-supervisors are to be given formal recognition by the
university where a selected candidate is registered.
Please note that any expenditure incurred before the actual sanctioning of the Contingency
grant is not be admissible for reimbursement.
For issuing the forwarding letter, the applicant should contact CWDS at
director@cwds.ac.in and cwds@cwds.ac.in.
